Fady and Grace welcomed their first born son, Evan, into the world in April 2025. Evan is growing up to be a very smart and happy boy. Fady took some time off to take care of Evan. We thank God for this precious gift which reminds us of his love for the world through the giving of his only begotten Son Jesus Christ for the salvation of the world.
Before Evan's arrival, Fady hosted a video call to updates our supporters on the situation in the Middle East. While the Gaza War and the hostage releases have taken over the headlines, he shared about the situations in Syria and Lebanon that are not reported as our supporters continue to pray for the region and its people.
In June, in response to the anti-Christian attack which killed 52 worshippers at the Mar Elias Church in Damascus, thanks to your generous support, we sent $1000 to help the victims of the attack via the connection with Fady’s uncle, who serves as the bishop at the Catholic Church that shares the same entrance with the Orthodox Church where the attacks occurred. Both churches sustained damaged and in need of funding to support their parishioners affected by this incident. Thank you for praying for Fady’s bishop and the two congregations.
Fady also deployed resources in partnership with Sister Sarah's congregation in Zahle (pictured above). In September, a 78-year-old Syrian man, Mousa, sustained a fracture in the right femoral neck and in need of a surgery. We deployed funds to cover part of the surgery cost. Unfortunately Mousa passed away shortly afterwards as a result of other complication. Please continue to keep his family in your prayer.
Calvin will travel to Lebanon and Syria in April and May. Please keep him and his travel in your prayer.
